Clandestine was shot entirely in the top of a barn in Redmond, WA.
Shooting consisted of three primary sets... a mad-scientist's laboratory,
the shaft of a well, and a cave dwelling at the bottom of the well.
The well itself stood approx
10ft tall and was built with
hundreds of bricks. The cave
walls were manufactured with
heavy, textured paper - and
a tire helped form a puddle
beneath the well shaft.
Fake
boulders were rented for the
cave setting - but real chains,
bones, and meat provided realism
to the creepy world of Clandestine.
When everything else is fake,
why does JK always insist on
using real bones and meat and
blood? Well, why does David
Lynch paint with bugs?
